My short speech at the relaunch of Vincent van Gogh’s house in Stockwell.
It's a great honour to be here today to witness the unveiling of this beautiful renovation, commemorating Vincent Van Gogh's time here in London and the influence British culture had on his art.
It is a fantastic tribute to the strength and longevity of our European connections here in Lambeth.
The tremendous amount of care and hard work has gone into the renovation of this house and the restoration of its artefacts. It's a treasure!
I'm sure it will inspire future Lambeth's artists for years to come.
I had a conversation with Alice and Livia and I know it's not easy to raise the money to spend all the money on the restoration of such a beautiful house. We all need you to continue to support
the work they do, including, definitely, supporting financially as well.
